Family: Irvingiaceae
Description : It is a deciduous African tree reaching a height of 40 m. It produces very sweet yellow
-greenish drupes resembling little mangoes. It is valued for its oil-rich seed. It has a meaty highly fiberized
pulp.
Uses : The pulp that is rich in vitamin C is most often sucked or transformed into a drink or jam.
Germination : It occurs fairly fast at the rate of 80%. Growth is however fairly slow.
